Diana Ngo brought this video at WebMD to my attention. It shows how computer-game-like technology is being used to help radiation oncologists use 3-D visualization to define the boundaries of tumors and decide where to apply radiation.
While you’re there check-out the article: "Fighting the Good Fight." It’s about where we are in winning the [...]

and donations reaching upwards of $40,000.00! The event itself was
exceptional with hundreds of people at a time enjoying the amazing

First glimpse from Second Life Relay For Life

Monday, July 24th, 2006

I hear the Second Life Relay was a great success last weekend. I don’t want to upstage the information about the event that others will have later, but I do want to link to this piece of video from Tao that gives a sense of the SL sets that were created for the event. Tao [...]

This week I attended the most far-out Net Tuesday yet. CompuMentor was really pushing the envelope of virtual reality technology by holding a "mixed reality" event. That means there were two venues:

Many people were online at the TechSoup site in Second Life.
Simultaneously, some of us were in the CompuMentor annex in San Francisco.

Live, streaming [...]

New media, same game

The post below about MySpace reminded me about the article in the July WIRED in which this quote appeared:
“To find something comparable, you have to go back 500 years to the
