I have an idea - Part one
So I have an idea. One that I thought of while I was attending SXSW this year. During one of the more interesting panels a little light bulb went off over my head. Not a huge one by any means but a lightbulb none the less. My second thought after having this idea was how will I get it funded? Then I thought of the Futuring and Innovations Springboard Program. This program is an internal market for innovative thinking. It encourages volunteers and staff at all levels to submit fresh business concepts of breakthrough services, processes and technologies for development funding. The Springboard theory: Continuous innovation develops long-term, sustainable competitive advantage and helps ACS reach our mission.
So what I am going to do is over the coming weeks is blog my progress as I get my application ready, talk to all the right players at the Division and NHO level, and try not to step on anyone’s toes. Wish me luck on my submission and stay tuned for more updates…Hopefully this will show all the staff and volunteers who read this Blog what the FIC is all about…
