Cutting the chord
There’s an interesting article in the Washington Post about whether it’s a good thing or not for young people going off to college for the first time to retain the close social network they had back home through social networks. Some say it keeps them from making new friends and getting independent. Others think it’s okay to let the old network help them through the transition.
But I found this sidebar information about cell phone and online use pretty interesting.
