SharingHope.TV
So as many of you know I recieved a Futuring and Innovation grant to start up a Web Site. The Web Site is called SharingHope.TV and will the home for all user generated video and photos for the American Cancer Society. The good news is that we just signed our contract with VMIX to provide the engine. The other good news is this new report from the folks over at the Pew Internet Project. It says that we are on the right track….
Fifty-seven percent of online adults have used the internet to watch or download video, and 19% do so on a typical day.More than half of online video viewers (57%) share links to the
video they find with others, and three in four (75%) say they receive
links to watch video that others have sent to them.
Video viewers who actively exploit the participatory features of online
video, such as rating content, posting feedback or uploading video,
make up the motivated minority of the online video audience. Young
adults are the most active participants in this realm.
So now imagine them watching the best Relay For Life video you have ever seen and then 57% of them send that video on to everyone on their email and IM lists…..time for us to go viral…
