Sneak Preview: Google Health
Electronic health records are
in the second twenty year phase of development and implementation. Hopefully,
the second phase will finish successfully ten years early. Perhaps expediting
this process, Google has entered the personal health records sector of the
healthcare industry. This bodes well for the individual taking initiative in
managing their (and their family’s) health.
It could benefit providers, too, by continuing the change in the provider/patient dynamic
from active giver/passive receiver to a team effort in maintaining an active,
healthy life. On the societal scale, successful individual health management may help lower health care costs and will improve quality of life. Click here for a preview of Google’s prototype. – the simple,
