SharingHope.TV Launches
he American Cancer Society is launching a new
Web community that will help connect cancer survivors, their friends and family
members through the sharing of user-generated videos, photos, music and
artwork. SharingHope.tv allows users to create an account and upload video,
audio, photos and artwork in order to tell their stories of cancer in ways that
work best for them. Visitors to the site can view the content, share what they
like with others, or find hope and inspiration for their own fight against
cancer.
Cancer survivors and their loved ones are already avid
users of online community Web sites, and with SharingHope.tv, the American
Cancer Society hopes to engage new and existing users of online media. "Many
people share their stories of cancer on Web sites like You Tube, Flickr, and
personal blogs. Now they have a chance to come together in a single online
community, with an organization and an audience that really cares about cancer,"
said David Neff, American Cancer Society High Plains Division director of web
and interactive strategy.
organization because it relies almost completely on people outside of the
organization to create its content. "This site is not about the American Cancer
Society - it’s about the people cancer affects. We are providing a forum for
people to share their stories, their heartbreaks, their triumphs and joys,"
Neff said.

Hello Dave.
Could I include a link to Sharing Hope TV
in BREAST CANCER PLEDGE PARTIES created for the BC Cancer Foundation to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer at the one time women of all ages are gathered, a Baby Shower and Child’s Party. With 8 % of the population under 7 years old you can see the potential to reach young women at a time they need to get proper Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer Educational advice.
We point out to women;
The Breast Cancer Event that will have the most lasting educational impact on the women they love will be held at their house.
We plan to create these first ever educational events for Breast Cancer Foundations all across North America.
The information on Sharing Hope TV will be very welcomed among our other valuable resources.

Hello Dave,
My Granddaughter Paige,16, who is very comfortable on FaceBook and has a vast Network of friends, will be creating a Breast Cancer Pledge Parties USA website . The funds raised from Baby Showers, Kid’s Parties, Sweet 16, Graduation Parties etc. will be donated to selected Breast and Ovarian Cancer Causes across America. SharingHope Tv will be featured with your permission.
In the FaceBook Causes pages, there is a Donation section where supporters can donate to a cause of our selection. Could we designate these funds to support the efforts of SharingHopeTV? If so what directive should we link to at SharingHope TV
