What is this all about?

The American Cancer Society’s Futuring and Innovation Center (FIC) mission is to promote and support a culture of innovative thinking in the Society. We do so by piloting innovative projects and researching long term trends in areas that affect our work.

The FIC: 1. Drives innovative thinking as cultural value through professional development of the FIC membership, consulting with Divisions and Departments, and supporting innovators.

2. Researches and promotes trends and how they may impact the Society’s work .

3. Identifies, develops, and fosters the adoption of staff and volunteer-based ideas and programs that advance the Society mission in new ways.

We also strive to share with, and learn from, other non-profits through workgroup conferences and this blog (FISpace). We welcome your interest, feedback, comments and participation.
